Public Meeting Tonight: Traffic Calming on South Mountain

Our friends at the City of Bethlehem are having a public meeting this evening to discuss traffic calming on South Mountain. Here are the details:

PUBLIC MEETING TO DISCUSS TRAFFIC CALMING ON SOUTH MOUNTAIN

Thursday, December 3, 2009

Meeting at 6:30 PM

at

The Forte Building (CACLV)

Corner of William & 5th Streets

The City of Bethlehem and area citizens desire to preserve the rural nature of Creek Road and William Street.   To that end, while new residential developments have been approved, street improvement infrastructure has not been required.  The City has a fund to study measures to slow traffic in ways to benefit the motoring public, pedestrians and ALL users.

We will present preliminary information on current traffic patterns and volumes, some options for slowing or discouraging traffic, and the next steps.  A main goal of the meeting is to gather additional input.

Please join us and share your ideas.

For additional information, please contact Chris Bartleson, Community Planner with the City of Bethlehem at 610-997-7640.
